Description
RailWorks constructed new track and rehabilitated existing track at the Augusta Quarry, one of the Southeast’s largest and most productive rock quarries. The quarry supplies more than 2 million tons of rock and gravel annually.
Scope
RailWorks was responsible for preparing the project site, constructing new track and rehabilitating the existing line. After the site preparation was prepared by a subcontractor, the RailWorks crew constructed 11,000 track feet of new construction, installed six turnouts and rehabilitated the existing track.
