Description
DART’s Green Line expansion is a 28-mile, $1.8 billion project to construct a new light rail line in the northwest and southeast Dallas metro area. Comstock is working on a 15.4-mile portion of the northwest corridor (line sections NW2, NW3 and NW4) that will connect downtown Dallas with Dallas Medical/Market Center, Love Field Airport and the cities of Farmers Branch and Carrollton.
Scope
Comstock is installing all the signals, overhead catenary and electrification on the line as well as all the systems components, including the infrastructure for the ticket vending machines, visual displays, communications and public address system.
Unique features
Comstock is providing 39% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) subcontractor participation as part of the DBE project goals.
