Description
RailWorks has worked closely with Lafarge North America over the past 10 years to implement a preventive maintenance program, including track inspection, maintenance and capital improvement work.
Scope
Dedicated RailWorks’ crews are familiar with the robust demands of unloading trains seven days per week at Lafarge’s manufacturing facility. RailWorks conducts ongoing track inspections and preventive maintenance, as well as tie renewal, surfacing and capital projects within tight work windows.
Unique features
Constant train movement requires performing all work during tight work windows scheduled around complex client operations and constant train movement.
By taking a preventive approach to track maintenance, RailWorks has an outstanding service record at the Lafarge facility. This approach has kept track trains running safety and track from deteriorating and in top operating condition.
