Description
RailWorks completed the new track construction project to accommodate more efficient operations at the limestone quarry.
Scope
RailWorks constructed 7,400 feet of new track, installed 4 turnouts, built a new 40-foot steel span bridge with concrete headwalls and timber deck boards, and constructed a 100-foot timber and asphalt road crossing with new warning lights and gates.
Unique features
The new track infrastructure provides an efficient network for inbound and outbound Norfolk Southern trains servicing the limestone quarry.
