Description
RailWorks rehabilitated existing track and constructed new track for Soylutions, an agricultural grain handler.
Scope
RailWorks rehabilitated the existing loop track to accommodate unit grain trains and constructed a new 2,000-foot lead track. The project included replacing bridge, switch and cross ties, installing 4000 tons of ballast, tightening bolts, upgrading a grade crossing and performing other miscellaneous improvements.
Unique features
These track infrastructure improvements contributed to Soylutions plan to create a major loading and off-loading facility for grain and other agricultural products.
