- Reconfigured and expanded track
- Constructed 5,800 feet of track with concrete ties
- Installed two #11 turnouts
Crews reconfigured and expanded the track infrastructure at Columbia Grain’s facility at the U.S.-Canadian border in Montana.
RailWorks crews shifted and rehabilitated existing track and two turnouts. They also constructed nearly 5,800 feet of new track with concrete ties and installed two #11 turnouts. This work included the construction a new lead track to enable the facility to handle unit grain trains. Despite rainy weather and a related project delay, RailWorks brought in extra crews to speed up the work. The project was completed on time and without incident.
