RailWorks Responds to COVID-19

President and CEO Kevin Riddett's Letter to Customers, Partners, Suppliers

RailWorks is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, customers, and communities.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, our top priority has been maintaining the protection and safety of our employees. We are monitoring the news very closely and are implementing appropriate precautionary measures as needed. It is in the best interest for our personal health as well as those who we are in close contact with – coworkers, family, and friends – to follow the recommendations and guidelines from local governments and health authorities regarding proper prevention and management of the situation.

At RailWorks, we have instituted a number of measures aimed at doing our best to keep our employees and their work place safe and healthy, including:

-- Limiting non-emergency travel via public transportation, including plane.

-- Remote working environments when and where available

-- Limiting visitors at RailWorks offices or sites

-- Enhanced screening protocols at job sites and office locations

-- Continued education about the need for proper distancing between employees, as advised by the health officials

-- Increased cleaning and sanitizing of all offices, equipment, tools, etc., at all our locations

We want everyone to know that, subject to some changes in how we are operating, RailWorks continues to be open for business. At this time, we do not plan to close any of our job sites, yards, or warehouses, unless required by the government or by our clients.

Health and safety is the everyone’s responsibility, but particularly during this global health crisis. We encourage all to follow the prevention recommendations from the CDC and WHO.
