Richland, WA – In early 2015, a major track installation was completed using NARSTCO Steel Ties, and nearly ten years later, the results speak for themselves.

Nick Anderson, who oversees the site, couldn’t be more pleased with the long-term performance. “Track maintenance has gone to virtually zero,” he shared. “We’ll occasionally replace a clip or shoulder, but that’s minimal compared to the constant upkeep required with timber ties.” His team continues to perform regular inspections, tighten track bolts as needed, and maintain switch points, but overall, the maintenance burden has dropped significantly.

Looking ahead, Mr. Anderson is already planning future expansions and upgrades. “For any upcoming projects, I won’t use anything less than NARSTCO Steel Ties and Turnouts,” he stated.
With proven performance, reduced maintenance, and long-term cost savings, it’s clear why NARSTCO Steel Ties continue to be the top choice for sustainable rail operations.
