IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL POTENTIAL JOB CANDIDATES
We have been made aware of recent scams impersonating RailWorks in an apparent attempt to defraud would-be job candidates with fake employment offers. In a recent example, a scam email was sent on behalf of [HRManager]@railworkscareers.com, claiming that the job seekers’ information was derived from an internet job board and professional networking site. The job seekers have also received a questionnaire from that impersonating email address and a fraudulent check by mail for “supplies”. All emails sent on behalf of RailWorks will come from email addresses ending in @railworks.com in the United States, or @pnrrailworks.com in Canada.
We do not solicit candidates for employment by email, nor do we require or ask for fees or payments during any phase of the recruitment or hiring process, nor do we prepay anyone for their expenses. If any person solicits information, fees, or payments from you as part of the "recruitment process" or as part of an employment offer, then you should assume that the communication is not from RailWorks and is not sanctioned or approved by RailWorks.
If you have received one of these offers or believe you have been the victim of fraudulent activity via the Internet, we encourage you to file a complaint with the applicable authorities, in the United States, Internet Crime Complaint Center, and in Canada, Canadian Centre for Cyber Security.
