Act of Kindness
On Sunday, April 14, 2024, Signal Maintainer Devan Tarsey stopped at a gas station near PNR RailWorks’ Bradford office before heading home from his shift. When Devan pulled into the busy parking lot, he immediately noticed a car that had a flat tire. When he approached the vehicle, he was met by a young mother and her baby in a car seat. He asked the woman if she needed help changing her tire and she told Devan no thank you and that a tow truck was on its way. A few minutes later, the woman came over to Devan and asked if he was still willing to help because the tow truck was going to take a few hours to get to her. Devan happily helped change her tire and provided instructions on how to do it in case she ever found herself in this situation again.
As a young father himself, Devin was happy to help someone in need. He explained, “I didn’t do this for any recognition, I was raised to do the right thing and I’m happy to help anyone.” An onlooker saw Devan helping a person in need and sent a message with photos into PNR RailWorks to recognize this act of kindness. Devan was graciously recognized with a company branded thermos, duffle bag, and jacket. PNR RailWorks is proud to employ individuals with integrity and compassion, and Devan is a prime example of that.
