RailWorks’ Chehalis, Wash., location has been recognized by the Washington State Employment Security Department for maintaining a veteran-friendly workplace. Implemented in 2015, the YesVets Program is a statewide campaign that encourages employers to hire veterans.

RailWorks is committed to our nation’s veteran workforce and has partnered with agencies to connect veterans with employment opportunities. Earlier this year, RailWorks teamed with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) initiative. As part of our participation in the HOH Corporate Fellowship Program, RailWorks hosted a transitioning service member, Kwan-Jin Bloomfield, in its Chehalis, Wash., office for an 11-week period, after which Kwan-Jin was hired full time as a Project Engineer.

YesVets awarded RailWorks an official YesVets decal to place on its door, and will be recognizing RailWorks at the YesVets Annual Recognition Ceremony in June 2020.
