Project Highlights
- L.K. Comstock National Transit installed 420 OCS poles, 29,500 feet of OCS cable, 17,000 LF of traction power substation feeder cables, two powered switch machines and 15 TWC loops.
Paso Del Norte Trackworks — a joint venture of Granite Construction and RailWorks Track Systems, along with L.K. Comstock National Transit as the systems subcontractor — worked on this project for three years.
The project included an embedded 4.8 miles of track streetcar system using girder rail with two main loops (downtown and uptown) as well as a maintenance storage facility. RailWorks Track Systems installed approximately 26,694 TF of standard track, seven embedded turnouts and four crossings with block rail and associated transitional pieces. L.K.
