L.K. Comstock National Transit Team Heroically Responds to Medical Emergency on Job Site
New York, NY – (6/26/2025) — A routine workday on an L.K. Comstock National Transit job site in Miami, Florida took a dramatic turn when a crew member suffered a sudden medical emergency. Thanks to the swift and coordinated actions of L.K. Comstock employees Tomas Ramos, George Johnson, Arnaldo Kayrus, Ruben Dorvil, and Sean Persaud, a potentially tragic outcome was averted, showcasing the team’s exceptional readiness, care and quick thinking.
While installing antennas on the guideway for a new system, the crew noticed a person exhibiting concerning signs of distress. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, and without hesitation, they quickly intervened and assessed the situation, confirming the need for immediate medical assistance. Their rapid response included contacting emergency services and facilitating the safe transport of the individual to the hospital.
The crew worked efficiently to carry the person to safety, ensuring they received the care needed in a timely manner. Thankfully, due to their prompt actions, the individual has made a full recovery.
