RailWorks provides ongoing maintenance on a major portion of the 276-mile line.
Two gangs are dedicated to FWWR track between Grapevine in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and Brownwood to the southwest. One gang is based out of Hodge Yard in Fort Worth, the other out of Dublin Yard in Dublin.
In addition to inspection and maintenance services, RailWorks performs capital projects on the main line and in yards, including surfacing work, replacing ties and “extra jobs” as needed.
