LK Comstock National Transit LLC Wins (4) NECA/IBEW Safety Awards
The Los Angeles County Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 11 presented LKCNT with (4) Safety Awards for years 2020 and 2021. The awards were presented at the NECA/IBEW events dinner and awards ceremony on May 2, 2022, in Los Angeles.
The Terry V. Perkins Safety Award recognizes company and individual excellence in safety on NECA/IBEW projects for work performed within the Los Angeles NECA and IBEW Local Union #11 jurisdiction. The company is chosen for its overall safety record and proactive efforts to promote safety on its projects. The IBEW Local 11 member is chosen based on displaying a commitment to safety and health and involving others in that commitment on projects. LKCNT and General Foreman Sal Martinez were presented with the company and individual awards.
The Dennis Kelly Safety Award recognizes both the company and one IBEW Local Union #11 member working for that company for work performed in Los Angeles County under IBEW Local 11’s jurisdiction. The selection of the company is based on their overall safety record and proactive efforts involving a safe work environment. The IBEW Local 11 member is judged for their contribution and impact on company-wide safety. LKCNT and General Foreman Sal Martinez were presented with the company and individual awards.
“We are very proud of our employees for their commitment to our safety program and culture. We are also very proud to win awards from our labor partners who share the same level of commitment to safety. These awards provide recognition for our collective hard work to maintain an exceptionally strong safety culture,” said Bill Heavin, President of LKCNT. “Every project has new risks and challenges, but the LKCNT team always stays consistent with safety processes and procedures. No task or production factor is more important than the safety of our employees, customers, and the public.”
Congratulations to Sal Martinez and the LKCNT team on a job well done!
